Mr. Rocket from Occupation to IGY
This is my historical research project about the famous Japanese aerospace engineer Hideo Itokawa. The research combines secondary and primary sources from academic journals, newspaper archives, and company websites. I was chosen to present my project at UCLA’s undergraduate history research conference and was awarded the UCLA Miriam Silverberg Prize for my work.
Science History of Postwar Japan Syllabus and Lesson Plan
I designed a syllabus and lesson plan that included a schedule of selected readings and assignments for a course on science and technology in postwar Japan.
AI in Journalism Lesson Plan
I designed a simple lesson plan that explores the applications and ethical concerns of artificial intelligence in journalism. The lesson focuses on student-led hands-on exploration and uses news articles in place of lectures.
